The Lodge Rio da Prata is located about 10,56 miles from Blumenau´s downtown, in the region known as Nova Rússia, (New Russia) around the Parque das Nascentes (The Water Springs Park).
A rural area with a lot of species of animals and plants, some in extinction, gifted with several nascent and wide streams of limpid and crystalline water of rare beauty, providing the visitors a single experience.
The lodging name originated from the river that used to transport the ore in the beginning of the twenty century, when the area suffered a harsh wood and mineral exploitation. As the time went by, this exploration has ceased and gave place to the new idea and need of preservation of the Atlantic Forest, remaining today, only the tunnels of the silver mines, restoring this way the natural beauty of this shrine.
